Crayford Focuser
Here is a few pictures of the 1¼-inch Crayford focuser that I have built for the 41-cm telescope. The total height is 40 mm. The lower plate thickness is 6 mm. Below is a few pictures of the focuser. Click on the thumbnails to see a bigger picture.

The axle of the focuser. Between the axle and the set screw in the middle of the photo is a piece of teflon. Pressure on the axle can be changed with the set screw. On the right is knob for focusing by hand. |
